Two-phase migration from our existing eCommerce platform to a new solution. Implementation of new inventory, order, and warehouse management systems. Integration of multiple systems to streamline operations, fulfillment, and customer experience.
To ensure a seamless transition, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead and deliver these critical projects on-site in Killarney, Co. Kerry.
Role Overview
This role requires a hands-on IT Project Manager with experience in infrastructure, eCommerce systems, and enterprise IT environments. You will be responsible for collating system landscape information, documenting technical specifications, and overseeing all aspects of system migrations and integrations. The role will also involve working with servers, networks, and firewalls to ensure a stable and secure IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
eCommerce Platform Migration (Two Transition Phases)Lead the two-stage migration from the existing eCommerce platform to a new solution, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal downtime. Oversee the migration of product catalogue, order history, customer data, and SEO assets, ensuring all data is retained and correctly mapped. Manage and optimise third-party integrations, payment gateways, and custom features. Conduct UAT to ensure system stability before launch. Implementation & Integration of New SystemsOversee the deployment of new warehouse management and enterprise resource planning systems, ensuring full integration with the eCommerce platform, logistics providers, and internal workflows. Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Logistics teams to define system requirements, improve efficiency, and eliminate manual processes. Ensure seamless API integrations and data synchronisation across platforms. Maintain system performance, security, and compliance in coordination with infrastructure teams. Technical Documentation & System Landscape Management
Collate system landscape information and create comprehensive technical documentation covering integrations, data flows, and dependencies.
Maintain detailed records of system specifications, configurations, and infrastructure requirements.
Work with external IT teams and third-party vendors to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
Infrastructure & Security Management
Oversee server, network, and firewall configurations to support the digital transformation project.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure infrastructure stability, security, and performance during system migrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any IT infrastructure issues that arise during implementation.
Project Planning & Delivery
Develop and manage a detailed 9-month project roadmap, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent business disruptions.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, external vendors, and developers to ensure timely project delivery.
Implement best practices in change management, keeping all stakeholders informed and engaged.
Testing, Training & Post-Go-Live SupportLead system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure platform stability before launch. Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to onboard internal users. Provide on-site support post-migration, resolving issues and optimising system performance. Performance Monitoring & Continuous ImprovementTrack and report on system performance post-migration, ensuring any issues are quickly identified and resolved. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and cost savings. Stay updated on best practices in eCommerce platforms, WMS, ERP, and IT infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in IT project management, specifically in eCommerce platform migrations and digital transformation projects. Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, WMS, ERP solutions, and IT infrastructure. Experience managing API integrations, data migration, and process automation. Ability to document system landscapes and technical specifications in a structured format. Hands-on experience with servers, networks, and firewalls, ensuring secure and stable IT environments. Experience with UAT, go-live planning, and post-migration troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools is an advantage. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certifications are preferred but not essential.
