This short course is designed to give you a strong understanding of the most popular Agile framework, Scrum, and empower you to jump-start your career as a certified Scrum Master. A Scrum approach to project management promotes flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability to change. Learning the Scrum framework can help you manage teams and deliver value incrementally on even the most complex Agile projects.

Earning the Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM I) Certification is an unbiased endorsement of your role as a Scrum Master. It demonstrates your capability of successfully managing Scrum projects and inspiring Scrum teams to learn from their experiences, self-manage, and continuously improve.

There are two certification exams students can take after completing this course:
This examination and certificate are provided by the Institute of Project Management (IPM). It is included in the course fee and takes place four days after the last day of the course. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will achieve the IPM Scrum Certification.
This examination also acts as a preparation for you to take the Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM I) certification exam, which is optional.
PSM I is an industry-recognised certification that demonstrates a fundamental level of Scrum mastery. Completing this exam is optional.
Those who also wish to get this certification need to apply for the exam separately and pay the examination fee directly to Scrum.org ($150 USD per attempt). This exam is not administered by IPM and therefore is not included in the course fee.

IPM Scrum Certification is the Institute’s own unique accreditation that incorporates all the Scrum concepts we believe are the most important for real-life situations.
This certificate is more than just attendance of the course as you need to pass the examination in order to get the certificate. The passing rate is 90%.
Taking an IPM Scrum certification exam also prepares you for the PSM I certification exam.

The PSM I assessment is available to anyone who wishes to validate his or her depth of knowledge of the Scrum framework and its application.
However, the assessment is difficult (85% passing score); which is why preparation is required to achieve a passing score. By attending this training, you will get the practice you need to succeed and acquire not only the PSM I certification, but also the IPM Scrum Certification.
This course curriculum is designed by industry-experts to help you go forward in your career by getting a comprehensive grasp of the fundamental concepts behind Scrum values, principles and practices, which you can immediately apply to your work. Specialise and gain the confidence to build your project management career with globally recognised credentials.
Classes run over two consecutive days, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Plan to spend some time studying the core material while preparing for the exam. However, as you can appreciate, this is very dependent on each individual’s capability.
A recording of each online class will be available for playback in the Student Hub, so you do not need to worry about missing a class.
