Role: Electrical Site Manager

Location Base: Ballincollig Regional Office covering our Projects throughout Munster

Salary: Competitive

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Level 7 Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in

the Water & Wastewater sector.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution and presentation

Skills

Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages Good working knowledge of Trimble Design Products and Autodesk Products desirable Full Clean driving licence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time, embracing the

ethos of a “one team” culture.

Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are

always adhered to on-site.

Be familiar with the HSQE management system and procedures in conjunction with the

current statutory requirements

Work on assigned projects to manage the delivery of the electrical and installation scope

including design and procurement elements; installation supervision, commissioning and

handover.

In conjunction with an electrical design engineer, design works include the compilation and

review of M&I Listings, general services design, cable sizing/cable schedules, review I/O of

listings, review of control panel drawings schematics, MIC load calculations, generator

sizing/review, MV design review, etc.

Procurement of packages such as control panels, automation hardware/software, starters,

electrical installation works, MV works and lightning protection.

Need to be familiar with programme and budgets for the project, fully understanding the

impact any overruns shall have on the project

Ensure project is delivered in-line with quality procedures and that all Factory Acceptance

testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), inspection and test records (ITRs), insulation

resistance checks, I/O point-to-point checks, rotation checks and commissioning of the works

are completed in-line with the quality plan and Employer’s Requirements.

Liaising between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers Preparation and application of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Permits and other

Health and Safety Documentation

Preparation of scope documents and tender packages. Undertake site surveys and preliminary condition reports on existing infrastructure/assets Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors and composition of purchase orders and subcontract agreements. Management of site personnel and subcontractors ensuring that work is conducted in line

with design documentation and in accordance with contract programme.

Completion of quality checks to ensure works are in line with design outputs and ready for

commissioning works.

Co-ordination of project close-out stages including handover to the end user. Preparation and submission of project handover files including as-built drawings and control

panel drawings schematics post-commissioning incorporating any changes made during the

installation phase.

Ensuring design, materials and workmanship is in line with the specified requirements. Liaise with relevant consultants, subcontractors, site staff, commercial resources and the

general site team involved in the project

Day-to-day interaction with the employer’s representatives, stakeholders and wider project

team.

Keep appraised of the latest standards and technology through continuous professional

development (CPD).

Show an eagerness to learn and progress in your own career as well as the mentoring and

training of more junior staff. Glanua has a proven track record of developing graduates from

college through to director level within the organisation.
