Engine Operations Manager - Ireland, on-site role
BaseLine Aviation Services are recruiting an Engine Operations Manager to join our customer on a permanent basis in Ireland.
The Role:Lead a team Supervisors and mechanics performing Engine DisassemblyLead the development of streamlining process to strategically enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Engine Shop.Enhance capabilities across the remit to increase profitability and effectiveness.Lead with a problem solving mentalityEnsure that the teams are operative to their fullest capability in a consistent manner.Manage the team on a daily basis – allocating work to all team members, ensuring duties are carried out in line with process & to a high standard and answering all queries for the team.Seek out opportunities and drive initiatives aimed at improving processes, boosting quality, ensuring consistency, and enhancing overall effectiveness.Uphold a safe work environment in collaboration with H&S and VP Technical.Design & implement dashboards to support collaborative success on an ongoing basis.Build and maintain relationships with Customers-Incoming shipments/Outgoing shipments & requests providing annual reviews and suggesting alternative suppliers;Contribute and provide continuing improvement to the current business model whilst reducing waste where incurred and our impact to the environmentProvide month end reports or additional reports as requestedEnsure all new employees are adequately inducted and trained onto the teamLiaise with other departments such as sales, repairs, assets and technical services to ensure adherence to industry procedures at all times.Requirement to travel to all facilities as requested by the business.
Qualifications:Industry qualification in aircraft maintenance engineering (EASA Part-66, FAA A&P) or similar preferred ORExperience in aircraft engine maintenance/overhaul OR Time-served in a related apprenticeship or vocational training program ORExperience in a related mechanical/electrical discipline may be considered.Previous experience of CFM 56-3/5/7 Engines essential. Previous experience leading a team is essentialPC Skills required – MS package / AVSightAbility to communicate both internally and externally to a high standardStrong organisational skills are essentialAbility to apply integrity and good practice across all activities and initiatives.
