Information Technology Project Manager

Job Description

Our client are currently on the lookout for an ICT Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. You will be involved in the implementation of a new finance system within the organisation engaging with relevant stakeholders, managing third party partner and suppliers.

Role responsibilities -

* Working with relevant stakeholders at a senior level to understand their business objectives and to define and develop services which meet their business needs and expectations.

* Managing third party partner and supplier contracts for the delivery of products, projects and services ensuring procurement compliance and value for money.

* Managing the team to ensure that specified services are delivered against service descriptions and service specifications, where necessary originating and agreeing these specifications and descriptions with relevant stakeholders.

* Ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with defined project and service management processes (e.g. PRINCE2 and ITIL).

Role requirements -

* Demonstrable experience of implementing IT/Finance related projects in large and complex organisations, of similar scale and nature, within budget and defined timelines.

* Demonstrable experience of collaboration across organisational boundaries with diverse groups of internal partners to deliver IT change., including managing stakeholder and supplier engagement.

* Significant experience of working with formal methodologies (PRINCE2 ,ITIL or equivalent) and other aspects of current best practice for the delivery of IT projects and services.

* Working knowledge of IT Architecture for finance enterprise systems (e.g. Agresso Milestone 7 (Update 6) or equivalent).

* Understanding of national procurement processes.

* Working knowledge and understanding of Higher Education and Public sectors.
