Job Description

Mane are looking for an experienced Project Director with a strong Mechanical background to join them on an exciting Pharmaceutical project.We are looking for a proactive, well-organized Project Director with strong leadership skills to manage multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective contingency plans.Oversee multiple mechanical contracts from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet client specifications, deadlines, and budget.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and negotiate contracts and agreements as required.Manage project finances, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.Ensure all work adheres to relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.Assist in preparing proposals and bids for new projects.Implement and maintain structures to monitor and control project expenditures against budgets.Ensure accurate and timely commercial reports are produced for Senior Management.Work closely with Directors and Site Managers to identify potential risks or issues and recommend solutions.Provide monthly progress reports to Senior Management/Directors.Collaborate with Senior Management/Directors to align with business goals.Foster productive, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external clients.Candidate Requirements:A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.10+ years of experience as a Project Director/Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry.Experience managing mechanical packages on Life Science or large-scale semiconductor/Data Centre projects for an M&E contractor is essential.Strong knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Process systems, including design, installation, and operation.Exceptional project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under pressure.Willingness to travel within Europe.A valid full driving license.
