Project Director – Solar Farm Projects

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading Irish engineering and project delivery company specializing in renewable energy, decarbonization, electrical infrastructure, and sustainable construction projects. They partner with some of Ireland's leading developers, utilities, commercial and industrial clients to successfully deliver complex, high-value infrastructure projects that contribute to Ireland's transition to a low-carbon economy. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of multiple utility-scale solar farm developments throughout Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multiple utility-scale solar farm projects across Ireland.
• Take full ownership of project performance including program, commercial performance, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Develop and implement overall project delivery strategies.
• Direct project teams through all phases of delivery from design through commissioning.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to Project Managers, Site Managers, and engineering teams.
• Ensure consistency of delivery across multiple project locations.

About You

The successful candidate will be an accomplished project leader with extensive experience delivering large-scale renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, or major construction projects.

Eligibility

Essential Experience:

• 5+ years' experience delivering major infrastructure, construction, or renewable energy projects.
• Proven experience in delivering solar projects.
• Significant experience managing project budgets.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent client relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated success delivering projects safely, on program, and within budget.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership) desirable.
• Professional Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) advantageous.
• Safe Pass.
• Full clean driving license.
