Project Planner

Job Description

O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Planner on behalf of our client.

This is a Longford based position.

Project Planner responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain comprehensive Construction/Tender programmes, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
* Integrate project schedules with 3D models using 4D software for a visual representation of construction sequences.
* Conduct site visits to review works as and when required.
* Produce weekly look-ahead programmes and manage critical paths.
* Collaborate with the project team including production & site to gather information and updates on project timelines.
* Monitor and analyse project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
* Utilise scheduling software to create detailed Gantt charts, timelines, and reports.
* Implement and manage changes to project schedules as needed.

Project Planner requirements:

* Relevant Third level Degree
* Operational experience with significant previous planning experience in the construction and steel industry.
* Master programming skills, covering design, procurement, pre-commencement, construction, and commissioning.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting project deadlines.
* Knowledge of project planning processes and the project life cycle.
* Experience in Microsoft Project, ASTA Powerproject or P6
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel packages
* Ability to quickly adapt to new software.
